Dr. DeSalvo served as the Chief Health Officer of Google from December 2019 to August 2025, and previously served as Acting Assistant Secretary for Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and as National Coordinator for Health Information Technology. Her distinguished career at the intersection of medicine, public health, technology, and policy provides the Board with valuable insight into AI and technology in care delivery, healthcare regulation, and population health management. She currently serves on the Council of the National Academy of Medicine and on the Board of Directors of Cityblock Health.
