How Alpha collects, uses, and protects information across our research, ratings, and convening services.
Last updated: July 28, 2026
Alpha Governance Group PBC ("Alpha", "we", "us") is an independent ratings and intelligence firm for AI governance. This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit alpha.ac, subscribe to BoardBrief, attend our convenings, or engage our research, ratings, and assessment services.
We collect the following categories of personal information:
If you choose LinkedIn AutoFill on our contact form, LinkedIn fills visible fields using information from your LinkedIn profile. You can review and edit those fields, and Alpha receives the values only when you submit the form.
We rely on contract (to provide services you request), legitimate interests (research integrity, security, product improvement), consent (for optional cookies and certain marketing), and legal obligation.
We share personal information with vetted service providers (hosting, analytics, email delivery, payments), with co-hosts of convenings you register for, and where required by law. We do not sell personal information.
If you choose to share a readiness assessment, Alpha creates a public, revocable snapshot available to anyone with the link. The snapshot and its link preview may include the assessed name, score, level, dimension results, audit details, and retained public evidence. Browser-session identifiers, assessment history, and advisory board-fit data are excluded. Shared reports are marked not to be indexed by search engines, but messaging and social platforms may temporarily cache a link preview after the link is disabled.
Alpha operates globally. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to certain uses. To exercise any right, email privacy@alpha.ac.
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password and notify us promptly of any suspected compromise.
Our services are intended for professionals and are not directed to children under 16.
We will post any material changes to this Notice on this page and update the "Last updated" date above.
