# Alpha > Alpha Governance Group, PBC is an independent AI governance ratings and intelligence firm. Alpha turns evidence about how AI is governed into decision-grade insight and signals that support continuous governance of the agentic enterprise for boards and executives, and inform investors, insurers, and policymakers on its risks and controls. The Alpha Standard is the standard for AI governance. Version 1 defines six weighted governance pillars. The Alpha AI Governance Rating, or Alpha AIGR, expresses governance quality under a public-information or verified-assessment evidence basis, and Alpha GMI expresses governance materiality. The Governance Intelligence Matrix routes internal and external risks and opportunities without changing the Alpha AIGR. Alpha assesses enterprise governance environments and does not certify individual models. Alpha operates through three integrated pillars: Alpha Institute develops research, standards, education, and the Alpha Council; Alpha Ratings produces ratings, indices, benchmarks, diagnostic assessments, and ongoing surveillance; Alpha Intelligence delivers those signals through Alpha Terminal, reports, alerts, datasets, APIs, and MCP integrations. In the agentic economy, governance is alpha. ## Product availability - Alpha Institute, Alpha Ratings, and Alpha Intelligence are the firm's three connected operating units. Alpha Council, diagnostic assessments, BoardBrief, and Alpha Events sit within that architecture. - Alpha Terminal is live at `terminal.alpha.ac`. Premium Terminal tools require an Alpha-issued API key and are available to approved partners; use `/contact` to request access. - Alpha API provides authenticated, approved access to ratings, company, director, executive, signal, regulatory, and benchmark intelligence. Product information is at `/api`; the live gateway is served from `api.alpha.ac`. - Alpha MCP provides read-only tools, resources, and prompts for MCP-compatible AI workflows. Product information is at `/mcp`; public discovery is served from `mcp.alpha.ac`, and premium capabilities require approved access. - Ask Alpha is the standalone subscription advisor for board directors. Its intended application origin is `ask.alpha.ac`; production availability is not yet verified. Public product information and the free AI Readiness Eval are designed for `/ask-alpha` and `/scan`. Personal workspaces require authentication. - Public MCP discovery remains available through `mcp.alpha.ac` and the server card at `/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json`. ## Pages - [Home](/): Independent ratings, benchmarks, and continuous governance intelligence. - [Company](/company): Alpha Governance Group, PBC identity, operating units, and public record. - [Company Profiles](/companies): Evidence-backed company identity, governance, disclosure, and source records. - [Alpha Governance Group, PBC Profile](/companies/alpha-governance-group-pbc): Alpha's governed company profile, source ledger, explicit limits, and agent permissions. - [Team](/company/team): Executive leadership and dated role disclosures. - [Governance](/company/governance): Governance structure, oversight boundaries, disclosure status, and controlled documents. - [Committee playbooks](/company/governance/committees): Audit, Risk, Governance, and Technology committee mandates, signals, instruments, and reporting cadences. - [Oversight](/company/governance/oversight): Separation of duties across management, analytical control, and independent review. - [Governance documents](/company/governance/documents): Versioned governance document registry and public disclosure boundaries. - [Independence](/company/governance/independence): Commercial, analytical, and rating-governance separation principles. - [Public Benefit](/company/pbc): Alpha's public-benefit purpose and operating commitments. - [About](/about): Mission, methodology, leadership, and operating principles. - [Leadership](/about/leadership): Alpha executives, partners, fellows, and advisors. - [News](/about/news): Alpha articles, company updates, event announcements, and news releases. - [Who we serve](/who-we-serve): Boards, companies, investors, insurers, and public institutions. - [What we do](/what-we-do): The Institute, Ratings, and Intelligence operating model. - [What we measure](/what-we-measure): The six pillars of Alpha Standard Version 1 and the four-quadrant Governance Intelligence Matrix. - [Ratings](/ratings): Alpha AIGR ratings, Alpha GMI materiality views, and peer benchmarks. - [Diagnostics](/diagnostics): Applied Governance diagnostic engagements. - [Alpha Profiles](/profiles): Evidence-backed, permission-aware public Profiles for directors and executives. - [AI Readiness Eval](/ai/scan): A provisional assessment of AI leadership, governance, and identity readiness. - [Ask Alpha](/ask-alpha): The board director's trusted advisor for AI governance. - [Methodology](/methodology): How Alpha rates AI governance, including evidence hierarchy, rating governance, and transparency boundaries. - [Council](/council): The Alpha Council, private community of directors and operators. - [Institute](/institute): The Alpha Institute, independent research arm. - [Events](/Institute/events): The Alpha Summit, regional Board Forums, and Council convenings. - [Insights](/insights): Briefings, working papers, and reference frameworks. - [Terminal](/terminal): Alpha Terminal overview for ratings, alerts, research, and machine-readable governance intelligence. - [Data](/data): Governance datasets and benchmarks. - [Alpha API](/api): Governed REST access to ratings, companies, directors, executives, signals, regulation, and benchmarks. - [Alpha MCP](/mcp): Governed Model Context Protocol access to Alpha intelligence for AI workflows. - [Sample rating](/ratings/sample): Example Alpha rating profile; sample only, not a current opinion. - [Contact](/contact): Briefings, ratings access, diagnostics, and press inquiries. ## Optional - [Privacy](/privacy) - [Cookies](/cookies) - [Terms](/terms)
